GKA Kite-Surf World Tour 2017 starts today!

Hello from Tarifa everyone,

Today is the first day of round one of the GKA Kite-Surf World Tour 2017 season which kicks off here in Tarifa, beginning with the riders’ registration in the morning at Tangana, Valdevaqueros and hopefully then the start of the trials, with the first possible start at 14.30pm.

Once the trials are complete 24 riders will compete in the main event, that will either begin after the trials this afternoon, or on Thursday.

The 24 riders will be made up as follows:

– 4 wildcards
– 8 riders from the trials
– 12 pre-qualified riders from 2016

As you can see from this Windguru forecast, we’re hoping for a beautiful mix of Poniente winds in the next few days before the switch to strong Levante towards the weekend and the event’s final day on Sunday!
