Today, we are all Mauritians!

When you think of Mauritius, the first things that come to mind are the pristine beaches, crystal clear lagoons and world-class waves – and we all want it to stay that way! Even though the oil spill is limited to the south-eastern shore of the island, meaning world-renowned kite spots like Bel Ombre and Le Morne with their prestigious waves and lagoons remain untainted, Mauritius still needs your help.

Let’s join hands in the fight for our beloved kite paradise Mauritius.
Local organisations and the Mauritian people are working hand in hand with the authorities to remove the oil from the environment and return the underwater habitats and beautiful beaches of the bay of Mahebourg to their previous state.

We are looking forward to returning to Mauritius, one of kitesurfing’s favourite playgrounds, with the GKA Kite World Tour next season, and the people of Mauritius are looking forward to welcoming you for your next kite holiday soon! Please join us in making sure this nature paradise is preserved in all its glory for future generations!
