Qatar Airways GKA Freestyle-Kite World Cup Neom 19-23rd October

Published 18th October 2022 by Andrea Susanne Opielka

Freestyle-Kite World Cup, Hosted By Neom Beach Games 2022 in Saudi Arabia, has started!

Running as part of a dynamic major five-sport event, the Qatar Airways GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup Neom kicks things off tomorrow as the opening attraction of the NEOM Beach Games 2022

The second event of the GKA Freestyle World Cup season will see the world’s best freestyle kiters re-start their campaigns towards the Qatar Airways GKA Kite World Championship title that culminates in Brazil next month.

Home for the next week, a superb flat water spot with specially constructed facilities awaited the athletes when they started to arrive in Neom a few days ago. The Freestyle-Kite action promises to be as good as we’ve ever seen.

Wind conditions are best in the mornings and day one (Wednesday) is blowing hard and the competition is underway.
